Because Bloopers Are Fun
A movie or tv show earns a star in my book if bloopers are shown at the end. These mess-ups can be the best part of the movie (case and point: The House). Do yourself a favor and watch Chris Pratt Bloopers, All Outtakes Parks and Recreation. It is worth all 9:44, and will make your day lighter, especially during this Winter Weather Advisory first day of spring.
It takes more missteps than achievements to create something and bloopers give us a greater appreciation of the finished product. And, they are just fun.
Having worked with a variety of photographers, I am constantly fascinated by their perspectives. There is a dance of work between myself and them to create a visual representation of my words. There are times I question the subject is, in fact, me. The final, polished images make there way here and across my various social media platforms.
Actress, Joanne Woodward owns a quote I live by, "Sexiness wears thin after a while and beauty fades, but to be married to a man who makes you laugh every day, ah, now that's a real treat." It is time to hold up my end of that quote. I am goofy and clumsy, so naturally there are outtakes of my goof and clumsiness. This is not a reflection on the photographer; they are capturing life, and life is unpolished and funny (if you let it be). So enjoy some of my favorite bloopers from over the years, and hopefully it brings a bit of lightness on this first day of spring snow.
